If you are, I highly recommend the "Series of Unfortunate Events" by Lemony Snicket. Don't see the movie, if you're like me, after the movie you are going to be irritated how off the movie is. Anyway, the series is about three children who, in each book, try to get away from a greedy villan. The first book, "A Bad Beginning" is pretty small, only 162 pages. The last book, however, is 338 pages long. The series was intended for young people, but I think you'll like it if you like mysteries.
I also enjoyed this series because if you want to dig deeper, there is hidden tidbits that kind of explain the "big picture". Also, Mr. Snicket (which is a pseudonym), wrote two other books to go along with the series, but these books only make sense if you truly dive into the series and, like me, over-analyze the series.

If you chose to read the series out of order, it may be a bit confusing, but you'll be able to get the jist of the series. And one last quick thing, at the end of each book, there is a small clue as to what the next book will generaly be about. If you decide to read the series, Enjoy!
